Connectedness comes from commitment

Updated: Dec 18, 2023

Are you excited about meeting new people? Would you like to connect and have fun with new people from your area who have similar interests?

Are you familiar with this?

You sign up for a meeting and are looking forward to meeting new people and having a nice evening together. But then participants cancel the meeting at short notice or don't come at all without cancelling. You are dispirited, and maybe even a little frustrated. That is understandable. Spontaneous are especially unsettling for newer users.

The Topic of commitment at Meet5 meetings is therefore a concern for us!

🌈 We hope that such rejections are rare and, of course, that you will not be discouraged by them.

🤒 Anyone can get sick, no question. It's not about you having to drag yourself sick to a meeting. Everyone understands a cancellation due to illness, which is usually foreseeable at least in the morning.

We offer you a platform, it's up to you what you make of it. So what can you do?

📌 Basically, we ask you and all of you to avoid last-minute cancellations.

💬 If you are forced to cancel a meeting, then you can proceed as followed: Please let us know in time (1-2 days) in the chat of your meeting and maybe wait for a response. We ask you to leave the meeting afterwards to give interested users the possibility to attend the meeting. You can do this easily by going to your meeting and selecting 'Leave meeting' under 'More' in the upper-right corner of the app.

📆 Please check in advance, before you register for a Meet5 meeting, if you really have time on the date of the meeting. For example, you can add the meeting to your favourites so that you can find it quickly later. If you have marked the meeting with the star, you will find it under 'For me' and under 'Favourites'

❓ Are you unsure if you want to attend the meeting because it is not quite full. Communicate in advance in the chat that you are mainly interested in a large meeting and that you will not attend if only two users have registered.

💡 People who use Meet5 as a way for them to meet and connect with people around them usually desire a sense of connectedness. Hand on heart: don't we all desire connectedness? The expressions 'connect,' 'be connected,' 'feel connected' all come from the same root word. Connectedness comes from commitment and reliability, or in other words, security. It starts with a commitment to a meeting and continues with open, clear and respectful communication with each other.
